wil turns 8 months old today. some fun facts about 8 month old wil:
~he can army crawl like the wind. he's attempting to do the real crawl but isn't quite there yet. he also tried to pull up on our coffee table yesterday but failed miserably resulting in a few tears.
~he loves to eat. he will crawl across the table (and, yes, he did this to tia and tried to steal her fried rice) for your food. there's not much he doesn't like although if he were making a list sweet potatoes would be near the top and green veggies would be near the bottom. he prefers to feed himself his bottle and definitely has the hands for it.
~he talks incessantly. this makes my mom happy. apparently i talked to her "NON-STOP" but, knowing myself as i do, that seems unlikely.
~he wears 18 month old clothes and they fit just right...if you know what i mean.
~he loves music and even 'sings' to ryan and me in the car. it's quite comical. beyond that he likes playing the piano with me (i've been practicing) and beating anything at all against anything at all. (drummer?)
~his love of water has extended to the bath which i think is his favorite time of day. (mine too...it means bedtime is right around the corner.)
~and, finally, he is the most relaxed little guy and goes with the flow no matter what life throws at him. must be something about 2008 babies because he has this in common with stella and tristan, future wife & bff respectively.

I love him! Happy 8 months!
i'm still aghast that i haven't been able to hold and squeeze him yet. he's so cute he takes my breath away - i love him dearly from afar.
looks like you've got yourself a big boy. i feel you on that - charlie's wearing 5 and 6T and he just turned 3. he's handing down clothes to henry now. SAD.
I love him too Jess! I think he is simply the best. Happy 8 months Wil!!! Sending you a bunch of love from Texas!
happy 8 months wil!!!!!!
you should be proud betsy and continue to be amazed and who cares if you say it all the time.
i will vouch for all the things mentioned in the fun facts, i think he did all of these things last weekend at our house.
love you wil-man, lots of hugs and kisses from pennsylvania.
18 month old....that made my jaw drop!!! i thought stella was big since she is in 12 month clothes (and sofia was stuck in 6 month clothes until she was close to 2!).
what a sweet boy, and it is so much fun seeing him bring you and ryan so much joy!
do you think wil & stel would be down with an arranged marriage? we could be really subtle and strategic about it.
let's just force them to marry. it always works out for indian people. they'll thank us for it later...they won't have to endure all the BS. we'll let them choose when and where, though. that's the least we could do.
He just keeps getting cuter, Betsy! Do you think he'll let me hold him when he's in high school? That's probably when I'll get to see him in person!
You might as well just go ahead and wallow in your amazement and delight - they cannot be overcome!
xoxoxo
okay, however in forcing something (in this case a marriage), i also feel like we will be mothering like our mothers. i am willing to take this risk if it means family vacations & wil as my son in law....
p.s. - terrye should you stop by here and see my previous comment...i mean no offense to your mothering skills! you and lb are perfect mothers, of course! :-)
