i love doing the picture of the day. i try hard to make it not all about wil but it's tough. he's great subject matter and, honestly, i think most people who log on each day are doing so to see his picture anyway. but i like shaking it up. as soon as i get my scanner hooked up...watch out!some of you have mentioned that you would love to have a forum to comment on the picture of the day. i have given this a lot of thought and have yet to come up with a fun but simple solution. i considered writing a little background on the picture of the day in a daily post but that could get tedious. i have also considered posting them on flickr or picasa where all the pictures from each month could remain together and people could comment there if they wished.
i have tried to maintain, up until now, that the picture of the day is just that - a new picture each day to spark a smile, a memory, a laugh, a conversation. maybe that's what it should remain.
what do you think?

you have to get the scanner from me first...... i may not give it up, that might be your fee for the storage of the stuff sean couldn't pick up.......

If there were a way to archive the pics of the day with the date, that would be cool.
But I vote for keeping it as is...I love logging on to see what it'll be.

ahhhhhhhhh you paid tribute to sofia and i didn't....i tried but i can't get my pic to be big like yours....it was just a small one even though i moved it over to the center. help!
i love pic of the day. i love it as it is but i have also wanted to comment on pic of the day but haven't due to lack of a location. you could have a pic of the day link that could link to the pic of the day picasa album that people could comment on over at picasa....
d - i had to steal your pic of sof for the day. i don't have one of her that is current enough. making it big is something i figured out after HOURS of trial and error. you have to change the photo from the layout page. you cannot edit from the main page. don't ask me why...that's just the way it is.

i say leave the pic of the day as is. you know if i have to shout out, i either do so under your latest post (as you did today on my blog) or i email you.
there are several things i've been wanting from blogger that i'm not able to do, so i feel you. i would like a fill in the blank survey...can't do it. wish we knew somebody over at google...
oh emily - you can prob do a fill in the blank survey...just google it and there is prob some html code. you could prob source betsy to help you with that....she's a blogger pro. i can't help you, i'm a bad influence!

i wish i was about to wear a pocket protect. we had to have some plumbing replaced today and i might need a geek's salary to pay for it.
i got that H from creative commons. just searched "letter H" and that was a picture from flickr that i saved and used as my profile pic. i had nothing, then wil and i just wanted something that was about me and all of us...so, H came naturally. i encourage going to creative commons...that's where i get all my pics. just do a search for works you can modify, adapt, build on (at the top) while on the flickr tab.
